Sometimes I wonder if, over time, power structures end up refining themselves towards metaphysical archetypes so to speak. Humans think of conflicts in terms of pro/anti, good/evil, ect. Always binary, which would manifest itself over time as a two-party system.
Since their lie was to portray the illusion of choice, one would assume that they would plan for a bit more diversity to flourish the illusion.
