The phrasing used by the mainstream is faulty from the very start.
People don't "believe in" conspiracy theories like a religion (or like the religion of mainstream media, which really does need believing through faith due to lack of facts).
Rather than "believing in conspiracy theories", it is simply those who "question and look into things, and don't take the word of known and proven liars as their gospel ".
