We had a crazy event about a decade ago in my state that took down power for weeks. Unlike Texas our event happened during a heatwave. Something I learned is that phone land lines are electric. I know this because people kept stealing the phone co's generators and the phone lines kept going down. Natural gas is also pumped through lines using electric so if a whole region loses power there will be no natural gas. So the natural gas generators are fine for a small event but they will fail if a large area is without electric. Had no idea solar panels and wind turbines would freeze 😳 Texas 🙏❤️
