I have a question that makes me unable to sleep. Why did God allow all these horrors to happen to the children?

We are not puppets that God controls. We have free will, we make our own choices. Evil is a choice some make. Why did he allow Hitler? Why did he allow his people to be slaves in Egypt for over 400 years? When people choose God, he equips us to fight the evil. He does not interfere in men's (and women's) choices, but helps when men call on His name. The real question is, now that people know about the children, what are they doing? Are they remaining complacent or fighting it and turning to Him for salvation and help? Ultimately, whatever He allows is to bring men to him and his salvation.

I'm struggling with the idea that the longer this continues, the more people will die.
I've wondered that myself.
That makes me really sad.
I belive and trust in God but I just can't understand that.
