Puff pieces will appear in Sunday newspapers and friendly interviews will happen on mainstream telly. Engineering a situation whereby there seems to be no alternative for the Labour Party but to choose the already anointed one. It will all be carefully choreoographed.
This process ordinarily starts years in advance as it did with Sunak. This time they're probably going to have to rush it a bit.
