Pretty sure my grandma was one of these. She was adopted twice. Once by people in the KKK, who she hated. Then by a kind family who she remembered going house to house giving people food. She had no birth certificate and no way of finding out where she came from. When I look her up on genealogy sites. The trail ends with her. I’m not giving my DNA to anyone to find out who I’m related to. It’s not that important.
