Paramahansa Yogananda came to America in the 1920’s and founded the Self Realization Fellowship. At the age of 18, I discovered his writings through a tiny pocketbook titled “Metaphysical Meditations”. It introduced me to the concept of “Christ Consciousness”. I paid $1 for that tiny book, and read it daily, and gifted it to another troubled soul. I have probably gifted fifty copies since that day (I’m in my 70’s now!) and always replace it once gifted to another. “Autobiography of a Yogi” and “Man’s Eternal Quest” are two others I highly recommend.
