Portman has been a "chosen one" her entire life. Most undoubtedly a graduate of the CIA's Monarch program, she was given movie roles since she was a child. (I suspect her inclusion in "Heat" was an unnecessary character arc added just to get her in a big, star-studded production.) Of course, she's going to toe the company line.
