Independent journalists did some digging and visited the D.C. headquarters of an NGO that received $32.4 MILLION in U.S. government funding for clean water projects in Kenya.

The catch?
No one was there.

The listed address leads to a shared office with a single reception desk. The NGO’s other “headquarters” is reportedly in Kenya. According to the building manager, NGO staff show up only sporadically.
