🤬ok so Trump said..no tax on Social Security....YET I just got my paper in the mail from SS office stating...see if your benefits may be taxable... OK SO WHATS THIS ALL ABOUT? We still have SS calling their shots or it doesn't go into effect as of yet? and if not ,WHY NOT? Thought it went into affect right way. WTF is going on???????????

I went in a few years ago & have them take out 0 taxes....the SS states it is 'voluntary tax' - the only money coming out is for medical - which I pay too much...hope that helps...the State does not take out taxes only Federal does---

yes but it is clear....that you will be taxed if you fit the criteria. My brother wants to retire but hes married and wife still works and they will take out taxes. That was suppose to stop. THATS MY QUESTION..why has it not?

I don't do my taxes cause I have NO clue - my tax account did say there were a lot of changes this year on our 1040 tax - I know I will get back from state & not federal - last year I had to pay into fed & with a penalty - we will see - I don't know if it is because Congress has to put it thru ??
