I also use it on my arthritic hands (the gel form with aloe vera adding 3-4 drops of helichrysum oil and used it to reduce the scarring from my replacement knee surgery. The scar is barely visible.
I will tell you that DMSO is a carrier that passes thru the skin so anything you have put on beforehand will be pushed thru as well so make sure to have a clean surface when applying it especially your hands.

Is there a particular type or amount? I am trying to get my doc to work with me on the DMSO after a friend recommended it!
I took pics of the ones I use but I have also used my horse's gel DMSO. I highly recommend subscribing to A Midwestern Doctor's Substack as he has acummulated thousands of the DMSO studies done on it that were suppressed by FDA and Big Pharma.
I started using it in my eyes over a year ago because the optometrist had said I might have the beginning of glaucoma. I also had floaters and a stage 1 cataract developing.
I put one drop in each eye 3-4 times daily full strength, if you can tolerate the few seconds burning sensation. Others can dilute it to a 30-70% with distilled water (maybe purified but I can't recall).
I went back to the optometrist about 2 months ago and my vision had improved, my cataract had not progressed and my floaters disappeared. I forgot to ask the doc if my cataract had actually shrunk so I will call and see if she made a notation. I am next going to a glaucoma specialist to see if that issue has actually worsened , remained the same or improved. Will u
