because I believe the Insurrection Act may have been invoked some time ago, and that's only my opinion and assessment based upon my own research and assumptions.
To my knowledge there is no requirement for the President or the Military to announce the Insurrection Act other than for the President to publicly tell the American People to go home in peace, and that did occur on January 6, 2021.
See 10 U.S. Code Subtitle A Chapter 13 Part I - INSURRECTION § 254. Proclamation to disperse:
"Whenever the President considers it necessary to use the militia or the armed forces under this chapter, he shall, by proclamation, immediately order the insurgents to disperse and retire peaceably to their abodes within a limited time."
