Before my husband's employer started dental insurance (which came out of his check monthly), our charges for any dental work was very low after getting company dental insurance our visits more than doubled. This was back in the 70's. Our dentist would charge my husband more than he would charge me for the same work. Maybe a family charge sheet ? ? ? It used to make my husband furious.
When my daughter broke her wrist playing sports, our GP said he used to have a whole room with X-ray and materials to cast breaks like hers. It was much cheaper and efficient than going to a hospital and getting it done.
