yes i figured. my hubby is/was a modeler but not motorized. considered boats tho. but hasnt gotten there. he does wooden boats. ships. etc. gave some to the air museum in hartford as they take them instead of them going garbage.. never refuse. if their good enough will show them esp if they dont have that one. if theres one on show the rest go to the hold room for sale. they make good money on them. when the tornado went thru about 40 years ago they were all destroyed,, even big planes. we lived close. could not bring them when we moved. kids dont want them. they were ecstatic as he is a perfectionist. put some in the cases immediately. there were about 15. half went into holding. now he does only wooden boats. very finite details. at least you can show them easier than planes.. those are treasures,, truly.

Dad died 25 years (Florida)....I got rid of them .

oh dear.. sorry about that but you do what you have to.. i mean i didnt want the planes in my house as there was no room for them and what do you do hang them over your bed? but those were bigger.. someone loved them i am sure.. like i said in a coastal place boats seem appropriate. even tho not coastal really.
