Pope Leo 'very disappointed' in Illinois Governor JB Pritzker over new law

Pope Leo XIV said he was 'very disappointed' that his home state of Illinois had approved a law allowing for medically assisted suicide, and called for greater respect of life.

Leo, who was born and raised in Chicago, said he had spoken 'explicitly' with Illinois Governor JB Pritzker on Tuesday and urged him to not sign the bill into law.

I am a catholic from birth. Went to catholic grade school and high school. Sent my 2 children to catholic grade school and the top boys and top girls catholic high school. Their education was exceptional as a single mother I got a lot of financial aid for high school nothing to repay. They excelled in college because of their high schools. Pope Francis was a disgrace in my opinion and Leo not much better. I consider Fmr Archbishop Vigano my pope. This is one of the few things I agree with. I've had very hard times as a single mother since my daughter was 2. After they left home for college I was extremely depressed and considered suicide many times still do sometimes I'm so lonely. BTW people don't care they want you to find help somewhere else and stop talking about it and leave them alone. I know now why people get desperate the young "sometimes" get better support thankfully. I think making it legal is a tragedy.
