I have made these many times over the years. It takes a good part of the day. I have never had issues. I looked up, “why is my dough sticky” and got a few hints, but the main thing that stood out, from AI no less, is: TRUST THE PROCESS 😲

This big pan of cinnamon rolls is a gift, which needs to be delivered in time for their Eve celebration with family… so if I do not drive a half hour one way tonight to deliver these, then all bets are off.

I have hobbled together the sticky mess, which is now filled with more layers of butter, and the dough is again in the shape of a ball - resting covered in the fridge for 2 hours before continuing next steps. I am either about to make the most tender cinnamon rolls in my history or I will be pivoting to plan B with a silent disappointment and some grace. This is not the end of the world; it is however, indicative of Neptune finally coming out of retrograde and the year 2025 representing one hell of a ride.
