The public are sick and tired of political patronage and seeing prime ministers pack the House of Lords with their friends and supporters.

It’s time to scrap this rotten system and replace the unelected Lords with a smaller elected chamber where the people of this country, not Prime Ministers, choose who shape the laws we all live under.

We need to put a complete halt to new peers until the house has been properly reformed.
