If you can fill out an ITIN form to pay taxes then you can certainly apply for citizenship. The tax they pay is probably less than one-tenth of what they should. Most of the illegal earnings are paid under the table not to mention half of Mexico is subsidized through electronic transfers from the U.S. "Mexicans in the U.S. send over $60 billion annually to Mexico, reaching a record $64.7 billion in 2024, with the vast majority (around 95-97%) originating from the U.S., making Mexico the largest recipient after India, supporting families, and boosting local economies in poverty-stricken regions."

i think with a green card they dont pay taxes to us bt to their country of origin. i knew of a nurse who lived her whole life in the US as a nurse. she is now in her 90s and never wanted to get a citizen ship cause she saved money on taxes.. now she ill will have to go back to canada at 90 plus to live i think.. leave her kids and hubby behind?? she thought she would get away with it i guess. well unless she has passed already. she loses. btw she never went back to canada to visit.

Very interesting indeed.

The foreigners are sure getting a rude awakening. The ones that have been here 20, 30, 40 etc, years feel entitlement to continue staying in the USA without any visa whatsoever really shocks me.
