Why is a basic income a bad idea?
It's not that this money comes from the government, since the government has no own money. They just manage the money from the taxpayers. So what really happens is that the people simply grant themselves this basic income, so everyone has a safe basis in life. And if you want to have more, you choose to work or earn money through other legal means.
Maybe the basic income will also be payed from the money that was stolen from the people, because I do not think everyone will get millions back in one payment.
