Our GHOSTS prefer to fly the C-17i, which is disadvantaged by it's very low maximum payload capacity (being inflatable & all), but it does sport the advantage of fitting in a backpack for just such an occasion.
The standard issue C-17, on the other hand, is perfect for those heavy payloads with its cockpit and engines re-installed. Super handy.
Flown in the globemaster... fast and efficient... landed on a small island in the Arctic in record time.!!
Those are AWESOME aircraft.
