The EO Targets chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood—a transnational network founded in Egypt in 1928—due to their involvement in violence and destabilization harming U.S. citizens, interests, and regional partners. Highlights activities in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, including: Lebanese chapter's military wing launching rocket attacks on Israel post-October 7, 2023; Egyptian leader's call for attacks on U.S. partners that day; and Jordanian leaders' material support to Hamas's militant wing. These threaten U.S. security in the Middle East.
