Cut a slit across the top before putting it in the oven. That's where it will rise when baking.
Most of the time ugly bread tastes wonderful!
Ok Ill try. I forgot to let the dough rise before putting in the pan so I'm surprised it rose at all.

Bread normally rises more when baking.
