You have quite the problem in California.

After the Lachman fire, state officials denied they were on scene, yet video evidence shows the they were there in deep discussions with fire fighters. And despite reports on the ground about underground embers smoldering, firefighters were ordered out leaving the area unmonitored. This was the start of the Palisades fire.

Later Gavin Newsom said on live TV that he'd ordered 110 fire trucks to predeploy, but later CalFire said, not one truck had been ordered to deploy.
