Wearing masks is a protective need.
If we weren't able to cope emotionally with situations in our childhood, we automatically built walls.
We might say, think, or feel the wrong thing and hurt others. We're afraid of being too much, too little, or we artificially elevate ourselves to avoid feeling the pain.
Especially if you are very empathetic, you sense the insecurities of the other person and what your own behavior might cause. Accordingly, you have learned to adapt in order not to stand out or to belong.
We wear masks to protect ourselves because we haven't learned to take responsibility.
Today, however, we can embody the support we needed and feel the empathy for ourselves that we longed for in the outside world.
Step by step, we peel away layer after layer of pain from our shell and increasingly enter our true essence.
