You'd have to be a complete moron to firstly think they spend £/$200 billion a year on research, and secondly to think they really want us cured.

Gates Foundation will donate, say, $100 million to Wellcome for research. Wellcome will donate £50 million to Rowntree and OXford. Each of them will donate to blah. Blah will donate to Gates East Asia, and rinse and repeat totalling £/$200 billion when in reality a small amount of money has been spent.
