For many years, I have been voicing my disgust about the decisions made regarding technology that make life a pain in the azz for people who have no control over the devices and software they are forced to use and learn to a certain extent. Wasted time, inconveniences, and aggravations due to never-ending issues.
I use only what is necessary for me, and avoid everything that I think I 'might' need. Apps for all sorts of things are like drugs. The country is full of people doped up on all sorts of drugs...whether gambling, hoarding, electronic devices, etc, the habits are hard to break.
