Once a truth teller, always a truth teller. There can be no other way for us. Sometimes the truth takes forever to be realized. No one remembers that you tried and tried to tell them, and no one listened. They are still stuck in their belief that you are a troublemaker and a storyteller. I derive comfort from this Bible verse because it shows that it also happened to Jesus. I am so much smaller, my thoughts are so much smaller than Jesus's, and I am nowhere near a prophet. “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family” (Matthew 13:57, NLT).
