I am not sure that means they have a conflict of interest bc they could be paid for the research work to prepare for the testimony. What is interesting is that they used a new methodology in their recent work which differs from GRADE, a type of methodology that has been used more typically. I noticed this bc it was pointed out in an MSM article that said critics were upset they did not use GRADE so they said it was not evidence-based. I looked at the new methodology and it seems to include more attention to environmental factors which seems to be what many in the public want included. The criticism could be a result of unfamiliarity with this methodology and the fact that it is new.
