A bill introduced in the Senate would give the VA authority to disinter the remains of veterans “who would not be deemed eligible for such a burial.”

What a waste of money. How about 'grandfathering' those who fit the chriteria at the time they were buried.

If the VA changes the criteria in the future, will they will just keep removing bodies?

That would mean confederate soldiers and that's not right!

A law about this passed by Congress in 1957, public law 85-425.section 410, approved on May 23, 1958! It says "this made all confederate Arm, Navy & Marine vets equal to US Vets". Additionally under US public law 810 approved by the 17TH Congress on Feb 26, 1929, the War Dept. was directed to erect head stones and recognize confederate grave sites as US War grave sites. Last confederate vet died in 1958! THIS IS W/REGARD TO REMOVING VETS!
