It's my perspective that the head of the DS snake was cut off a long time ago. Anyone left is mid- to low-level people who, because of compartmentalization, may not know the head is gone. I spoke of the natural, but YES, there is also the spiritual. A man's actions depends on who is fueling their spirit.
Charlie reminded me of one in the Scriptures--the first martyr of the risen Christ: Stephen, of whom the Scriptures said he was 'filled with the Spirit.' When he spoke the truth, the 'religious leaders were pricked in their consciences', and they covered their ears, not wanting to face the truthful reality...they rushed at him and stoned him to death!
Sometimes the truth is so piercing and clarifying, those who oppose it can be so enraged their only response it to silence the messenger! But their actions actually serve to amplify the message and they actually end up making the messenger larger than life!
