I have to disagree. Memes are meant to share. Taking credit for something that is not yours is wrong.
I made this meme on Twitter back ion Nov. 13, 2020 before I got suspended and a larger account posted it as their own.

Trump retweeted my meme that was stolen and while I am glad it got a larger audience which was great, it kinda sucked that some ass hat got the credit.

I was trying to build followers because with only 2500 of them I couldn't reach the people that needed reaching

Trump's rewteet would have helped but I guess it was all for naught anyway because I was suspended the same day as Trump in the great conservative purge.
