Kat, some history that reminds me of current events: the story of 2-time Peruvian President Augusto B. Leguía
(1908-1912 and 1919-1930).
He was a White Hat way before his time.
El Presidente Leguía LOVED the United States, studied and did business here, then went back to Perú to become President to try help Perú modernize/industrialize for the 20th Century.
He rode the backs of Elites in Perú to rise to power, but then turned on them. 😂 Sound familiar?
He fought APRISTAS who were like Chavista Socialist Commies and the Communist Party of Perú.

What you can't find on the Internet is that El Presidente Leguía also commanded the National Police and Peruvian Military TO ROUND UP ALL THE VIOLENT CRIMINALS IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF LIMA, and they took them out to sea and DEEP-SIXED them ALL.
Violent Criminals = mercenaries of the Elites.
Eventually the Elites imprisoned him on false charges, but the People of Perú supported his actions.
