You're right, the visual part of the IRS closure does seem near. A few years ago, I sent out a group email to my little circle of family and friends with a short list of predictions, including the shutdown of the Fed and the IRS. I got only one response, a sister who said, "Is that supposed to be a good thing?" 😳 At that point, I quit sharing with people close to me and decided to stick with the online anon community. And for me, my gratitude for being part of this digital army, and my anticipation of the good things to come, is tempered by the things I almost wish I hadn't learned. (The proof of which is something you can never un-see.) But I do want to be around long enough to know for certain that we finally live in a world where children and women are safe. If that's all I get to see, I'm good with that.
