Living off parents is one thing. But America is the only culture where younger people don’t live at home until marriage, elderly parents would not be thought of not living with one of their children’s families so they are taken care of. Family is extremely important in so many cultures that it’s wrong not to live together. But the American way is kick them out when they’re 18 and put them in a nursing home when they’re too old to live alone. The only Americans that tend to live multi-generationally, besides immigrants, are the wealthy.
