Sad to say though. Seattle & Portland were very nice cities when I was a girl compared to now.

Agreed! I was lucky enough to have a great job downtown Seattle, up high, with a view, for many years. Lunch walks on the waterfront, pike place market. Christmas shopping on 5th ave..It was wonderful. Then, it became a "crap hole"
When I was young, we lived near Portland. It was also wonderful before it became a "crap hole"
