I hate that I need to take my dog in for a nail trim, but it requires sedation, which according to the vet requires six vaccinations or they won’t do it. I don’t want them vaxxed…every dog I’ve had as an adult didn’t live beyond ten years old, all fully vaxxed, all died of lymphoma or something similar. But my childhood dogs, who maybe only got rabies vax, lived to 17 or 18. My husband and I actually had one dog that was never vaxxed, never went to a vet, lived until 20. And I can’t find a vet anywhere that doesn’t push the vax…
I was here early in 2021, then got "spooked". I am back because I want to live. I read a lot. I observe. I listen. I have faith in us.
Some pet stores have nail clipping events; possibly more likely with boutique stores or rescues. Maybe a mobile vet?
Sorry, i just realized you need sedation. But maybe a mobile vet would still be willing.
