on p. 287 of the Biohazard book the author mentions his chronic allergies from repeated exposure to live vaccines and that combined vaccines (e.g., DPT) impacting the metabolism of specific organisms. I am not anti-vaccine, I understand their strategic and appropriate use, but reading these statements from someone who wrote about a biological weapons program suggests that perhaps we might pay more attention to information like this.
If you aren't vehemently anti-vax yet, you need to read more. I suggest going back to the beginning with Charles Richet and "Anaphylaxis".
When reading these old papers you need to think like a criminal investigator rather than a medical scientist. They didn't use scientific method and seldom had a control group. They routinely killed dogs and monkeys with ridiculous poisons that didn't remotely prove source or transmission. Yet, much of modern medicine is based on their flawed papers.

I am familiar with some of those experiments but also understand that biological weapons are used in wars and that vaccines were developed in part as a response to protect people from biological attacks. A country could end all vaccination but it would not stop another country from using biological weapons and wiping that population out. That is why I do support infectious disease research and medical research in general, but there needs to be oversight and sorting out who is who and what are they up to and cleaning up the dirty science (fake data or studies, fraudulent investigators or credentials, etc. that get pulled into legitimate research and muddle it up). Those all seem to be initiatives that they are trying to address although most of the public does not have context for the breadth and scope of this problem. The media has reported on quite a few individuals who have got caught trying to bring in foreign animals or pathogens and the FDA is also stepping up.
