In response Glenn Huggins to his Publication

Exactly true. They relate to their parents' homeland. They don't feel a part of this country. I taught them. They wouldn't recite the Pledge of Allegiance or observe United States holidays. Several, but not all, had a certain look in their eyes, as if to say, 'I am tricking you.' I would have conversations with their parents. They would praise Mexico, and I would say, Why would you leave? You must want to go back? They would shake their heads and say, This is where I make money. They will never assimilate. Assimilate was considered a biased word when I was studying education. It was all about diversity. Wherever you go, you need to assimilate it's ridiculous to say otherwise.
