They did give us SSNs; but, we still have serial numbers on our cars, electronics, money, etc. One identifies you as a person while the other identifies the item specifically and can traced without sharing SSNs willy-nilly.
Right but it all comes down to 'who counts the votes' doesn't it?
It doesn't matter is there's a # on the ballot or not if those who count (or act like they count) the votes are corrupt and dishonest, the AI can deep fake all of it, who'd know?
