🏰 Red Brick Mini Castle Design | This Tiny Medieval Fortress Is Breaking the Internet! - YouTube
(IMHO it needs a gatehouse to match!)

While they look really cool (I am a sucker for a tower) the reality is that they would be very dark and dreary. Small windows in a forest - especially stained glass - would let in very little light. While they show the interiors looking like they merge into the outside, they are all dark - and if open, can you imagine the bugs and spiders? The kitchen design is especially sad with just the one little end window. Maybe this all keeps it easier to heat, but oh, I'd be depressed 9 months out of the year.... Castles also sound and look cool until you look into the plumbing, the cleaning of those high ceilings, lol!! But I still want one of those dragon fireplaces I saw here on another post. Meanwhile, even tho I dislike modern and like my privacy, I do like those homes with tons of windows - sun rooms (with some shade, lol) Just my humble opinion - but since I DO live in the woods, I think it has some weight.

Great Observations and thoughts!!!
I still love the look of them and I suppose one could try to capture some more light with additional windows with an architect designing the removal of more of those heavy stone walls to place them!
I had a house that was dark, we had a lot of spiders and insects. hard to get rid of them too! And eyesight worsened for the years of stay in that house too! I am in a much better place now with a lot more light and windows! 💛
