The Divine “I”

Poor Moses! He first gets berated by Pharaoh, and now his own people all but curse him.

Thus, Moses brings his complaint to God. In his bitterness and disap­pointment with the worsening of Israel’s conditions, he asks: “ ‘Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me? Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all’ ” (Exod. 5:22, 23, NIV). Moses’ discontent with the Lord is obvious and, considering the situation, understandable.

God’s response, though, is powerful. He will act, and very decisively, as well. “ ‘Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh’ ” (Exod. 6:1, NIV).

Over the years I have often thought of those who God chooses to use.
Their refining process is tough... Joseph too!
... those alone times (Desert times) refine.
..tribulation builds perseverance proven & character hope..in God's faithfulness. He will DO what HE says He will do.
Listening is the biggest hurtle...the Holy Spirit moves too and fro looking for someone willing.
How innocent that acceptance is..as a child before LOVE is questioned.

These days when I recognize resistance..it's LOVE that is missing. Love for someone I don't want to love. Just realized loving them is NOT turning off discernment or without limit trust.
Returning to a simpler place where hurts haven't happened..so God's love touches others and not my interpretation.
I choose God...
In my weakness is He made strong.
Lord let others see you NOT me.
