I have a story.
One time, while climbing on a VERY big mountain in the Himalayas, members of my party became trapped at a high camp unable to retreat from an oncoming storm due to winds that were literally lifting them off the ground.
Unable to do anything else, I descended the mountain to a place very sacred to Sherpas and prayed as hard as I could for the winds to stop.
It was then my fellow climbers radioed me and let me know that the winds ceased just long enough so they could descend to safety.
