That's my go-to plant when bitten, chew on a leaf or 2 and put on the bite. Sucks out the nastiness within an hour most of the time.

Deer flies are the worst around here from right about now until mid-August. I swell up like crazy from them... once had to visit the emergency room for a bite right in between the eyes, couldn't see where I was going. Nurse thought husband beats me or something, nope, just a nasty little deer fly.

Plantain grows free in my yard, much cheaper than an emergency room visit and works better and faster than anything a doctor can give you.
