This certainly could be the so called Rods of God! WhipLash has talked about this weapon, which can be fired from space. Is extremely precise as it hits, it has the power of a Nuclear Blast, without actually being Nuclear, and it only focuses all power on the target! This seems to be the case here! WOW!
