Had to look it up (cause I know a few curious questioning minds might want to know a couple 'real tank weights'): WWII tanks, medium tanks weighed around 30 to 45 tons; super-heavy tanks like the Panzer VIII Maus at 188 tons. Hahaha, what a movie stage, right?!

During D-Day they also used fake Paratroopers to throw the Germans off, called "Ruperts".
These were deployed at Calais, mainly to distract from the real invasion in Normandy. Decoy tanks would also likely be used in England to make German aerial observers think armor was sitting idle in England, not loaded onto ships.
