my dad was likely on that ship in 45. no active war duty but a cryptographer for the hitler stuff that was found.. he did crack one of the codes.. he never talked about any of it and i feel he knew a lot more than we would ever want to know,

thanks. he has passed on. would be 105. ,mom would be 101.. my mom would have loved T. she loved reagan and met him.. of course voted for the bad guys unknowingly like we all did and would be hurt by that.. not sure how he woudl feel about kennedys tho initially. would take some time as they were brainwashed.. dem and catholic both negatives for my family.. and why i think dad knew about the catholic religion background. never spoke about it but something just wasnt right.. (me as an empath felt that)
I was very happy to hear at least twice a Welcome Home to all the Vietnam Vets!
My step-dad was one, and he said when they came home they were treated so badly! He loathed Jane Fonda because of all she did for that!
But I am very Happy that they said Welcome Home to the Vietnam Veterans!!! Made my heart happy!!!💛

yes. it was not good. i was a mid teen when they started coming back in the 60s. there was so much negative press about the baby killers. the situations by the VKong was bad, babys wrapped in dynamite knowing we would pick them up and boom.things like that. trying to save and then being told they killed them.. aweful some never recovered. knew one who went over there who didnt come back. nice guy too. knew only on who was a heli pilot did 3 tours there and came home. slight injury but nothing serious. two in my nursing class went into service but stayed state side. that was it for me.i would have been the one they sent over.. with my luck.. the war world was not my environment. there is a book called The Women about this. it was interesting read. i could see myself thru her experience.. same age. showed how wrong the info was.. also.
