We have been sitting on technology that could make life so much better, it is kind of like our cars, back in the 80s we had a car that got 50mpg, it was not that fast, 45 years later and most of our cars only get around 25/30 mpg. 😏
I imgine that the true thrust of this project is to get "Free Tesla Energy" into the hands of everyone across the globe. A young man in Africa has already provided the working model that could power not only your car, but your entire home & all the appliances within it.
