GROK:

Prostate cancer is typically staged from 1 to 4, with Stage 4 being the most advanced. There is no "Stage 9" in the standard staging systems (like TNM or AJCC) for prostate cancer. You might be referring to a misunderstanding a different cancer type, or perhaps a non-medical grading system. Here's a quick breakdown of prostate cancer staging for clarity:

Stage 1: Cancer is small, confined to the prostate, and grows slowly.

Stage 2: Cancer is still within the prostate but larger or more aggressive.

Stage 3: Cancer has spread beyond the prostate to nearby tissues.

Stage 4: Cancer has metastasized to distant organs (e.g., bones, lymph nodes).

Gleason Score
Gleason scores are a grading system for prostate cancer. Medical pathologists set Gleason scores after studying tissue samples under a microscope. Gleason scores range from 6 (low-grade cancer) to 10 (high-grade cancer). Low grade prostate cancer grows more slowly than high-grade cancer and is less likely to spread (metastasize).

What’s a normal Gleason score?
Your Gleason score doesn't rank potential ranges like ranges set for elevated PSA (prostate-specific antigen) tests. Instead, providers break Gleason scores into three categories:

Gleason 6: The cells look like healthy cells, which is called well differentiated.
Gleason 7: The cells look somewhat like healthy cells, which is called moderately differentiated.
Gleason 8, 9 or 10: The cells look very different from healthy cells, which is called poorly differentiated or undifferentiated.

My Dad had prostate cancer in his 80s and had radiation. They thought he would have to wear a diaper and lose bowel control, but he did just fine and lived to be 92. This is BS. I mean, I am sure he has it, but give me a break. They say if you're a man and you live long enough, you'll get it.
