Why are they trying to block out the sun?

They already have...
The sun simulator is getting too close to the Earth as ot travels agead of ghe incoming... its glare and heat, is causing adverse effects...
They cannot stop using it, or we would all see the incoming, and the eclipses they are causing as they pass before the REAL sun.
So, they will block some of the sun simulators light.
