Do not OBEY. Exercise your free will, or lose it. Are you the Black Sheep in your family? Maybe you are the only one in your right mind. Be brave, be strong, and stand up for yourself, and your children, because nobody else will.
Encourage individuality in your children, because children who think differently WILL change the world.
Your Creator gave you free will, but He cannot make you exercise that Free Will. You have the freedom to be who you are, not who the world wants you to be.
In my opinion, it is a sin to let someone else take away what Your Creator gave you.
